Article  The Best Easter Costume for the Occasion The Easter holiday is one of the most celebrated and time honored traditions around the world.  While it is a holiday based in deep religious roots, it has grown to be much more than just a day of spiritual enlightenment.  It has become a day to celebrate family and friends.  Traditionally, it is a holiday that commemorates Jesus rising from the dead after dieing for the sins of man.  However, not all families belong to a religion that holds such beliefs, but they still want to be a part of the celebration.  Since it is a holiday that rejoices in the love and friendship of family and friends, it makes no sense to exclude anyone from the holiday regardless of their creed.  The celebrations and parties take on many different forms for this holiday and almost always include specific attire.  Whether it is a religious festivity or an adult themed party, there is an Easter Costume available for everybody in any situation.   Since Easter is traditionally celebrated for religious purposes, there are many people that maintain a very spiritual approach to the holiday.  For them, a bunny and eggs may not seem entirely appropriate as the focal point of the holiday.  The primary purpose for the day is generally to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  It is a celebration that is held in high regard and taken very seriously.  Their festivities may include an Easter pageant or play depicting the historical events the holiday represents.  Often times, the kids dress up in the historical attire of Jesus, the apostles, or any other character from the biblical story and proudly act out the events for their friends, family, and church.     Not all the holiday celebrations have to be entirely religious though.  There are many families that choose to spend the morning in church with their congregation and the afternoon celebrating with family and friends.  The most typical Easter celebration is spent with many families having a picnic in a park.  There is usually lots of food, games, and always an egg hunt.  One lucky adult from the group will dress up in an Easter Costume and hide the eggs for the children to run around and find.  Despite the fact that there is an adult or two missing from the group, the kids are so happy to see a giant bunny or chicken they do not even notice that it may be someone they know dressed in a suit.  Although the holiday attire may bring great amusement and laughs from the other adults, the joy it brings the kids is absolutely priceless.   The holiday parties are not always so family friendly.  There are even Easter Costumes for the adult themed events.  For men, the options tend to consist of large, baggy bunny outfits equipped with carrots and bow ties.  The attire for women, on the other hand, is vast and provocative.  These bunny outfits available are certainly not for the eyes of the children.  Women’s outfits range from a rabbit emerging from a hat to a rabbit cocktail server.  These are for the holiday parties that are neither religious or for the whole family.  Generally they are for younger crowds that see the holiday as another excuse for a wild party and good times with friends.     Regardless of the type of party, they all hold one common theme.  Any party for the holiday is designed to get together family and good friends to celebrate love and friendship.  Whether there is a child dressed as Jesus or a young woman portraying a bunny, there is an Easter Costume to accompany any occasion.  The right outfit is sure to make the holidays fun and memorable.
